Based on the theme of “wide open spaces,” shows at the ninth edition of the Montreal/New Music festival range from Beatles and Bach tunes performed by 150 electric guitarists to Inuit throat singers accompanied by German vocalists and an accordion player, breaking down real and imagined barriers between sonic genres.
