7 Reasons to See Frankfurt in a New Light

My wife wad apprehensive about flying into one of the busiest airports in the world - Frankfurt. On her return to Canada she told me that on leaving the aircraft a person she approached relieved her of all her stress. My wife's visit was short but very memorable...unlike me - Edna likes to travel - her experience in Germany has been cited to me quite often as a good reason to travel - it's EASY!
No self respecting husband can argue against that....Hopefully, we can, some day, travel the destination together, and enjoy the hospitality and, the experience. Thank you!

Not memorable for me in Frankfurt in August 2010. Horrible experience with the car rental company "Avis" and their surcharge + the Lufthansa airline attendants with the hassle they gave us over a couple of extra kilos. Two hours to sort it all out - almost missed the plane.

On a trip to France and Italy our connection coming back after 5 weeks was in Frankfurt so we decided to spend a couple days as part of the plan. It was a best kept secret... Lots of history, beautiful squares and patio pubs and eateries, shopping is great in the town, and the walk along the river is beautiful. Lots of young people too. Recommend going to Adolph Wagner's... a local place where you can meet locals and travellers.. have the Apple Wine - and of course teh Wiener Schnizel... house specialties... bottom line, the next year, we worked the same stop into our trip. Love it.
