Canada’s Best New Restaurants 2010

I have been to this restaurant. Located in the "Valley Town" , Dundas, Ontario this restaurant features Classic French cuisine made refreshed by contemporary ideas. The chefs are inspiring and passionate about the experience they offer their patrons. It's worth the drive to Dundas!!!

One no longer requires to travel from Sooke to the city of Victoria for fine dining - as a matter of fact, if I was living in Victoria, I would travel to Sooke just to go to the EdGe - Ijust can't get enough of this place, the soups are awesome.

Without exaggeration - unbelievably good food. Worth the trip all the way from Vancouver just to experience Edward's dishes.

We've recently been to the Stone Soup in, it was the start of one of the best weekend culinary experiences of my life. I highly recommend this as a weekend retreat for anyone in the Pacific Northwest. Brock was an outstanding host, who brought out fantastic seasonal fare for us to dine on, most of which was cultivated right there on his small farm.

We, at Discover Sooke Online, would like to personally congratulate Chef Tuson and Gemma for their outstanding work and for creating another wonderful reason to visit our amazing little seaside community just minutes from Victoria.

Way to go!!

Sooke is a lucky little town. I have many favorites .. next time I'm having desert first, that way I have lots of room, creme brulee is awesome! Way to go Tusons!

Went to Quatrefoil a few weeks ago.....not surprised that they are in the top 10. What a wonderful place - service, food (to die for) and wine list was first class. Well done

Visiting the EdGe was one of the highlights of our trip to the island in September. It was a privilege to try 'Eddie's' creations. What a great concept - a comfortable, cosy, family atmosphere and gourmet food. Perfect!

Quatrefoil is probably the best restaurant I have been to this year. A truly exceptional experience in an area that one would typically consider a restaurant wasteland.

EdGe is brilliant!

Simple and comfortable surroundings; staff who know the food and a former chef at Sooke Harbour House is EdGe co-owner and in charge of the kitchen.

Enough said.

I've eaten at Charcut in Calgary twice now and I have to say if you're there for lunch get the Meatball Sandwich, you won't regret it at all. Best sandwich I've ever eaten!

i think the best restaurant in Canada is MESSSINI´S restaurant in the Greek town (Toronto)... cheap , good and nice... lol

how patrick lin and team do not get considered at habitat in canmore alberta is beyond my culinary comprehension.

culinary delights missed in canmore being habitat restaurant at the grande rockies resort. i ate there 4 months ago fresh into their opening and still remember the pina colada espuma served up from chef leung's team in between courses. sophisticated approach to food that was definately missed this year.

Happy Turkey Day to all in Canada. What a nagazine review your readers on borad and off on the ground enjoy reading. I tnhank Air Canada for having San Juan, Puerto Rico as one of their destinations on the Caribbean. Wish I could lead you to our fine eateries, from fine dining to snacking at trucks, or fopr sweet treats in our fantastic "reposterias and panaderías". For those on board soon, coming down, I cahllenge ytou to tell me where our best dining scnarios are (for Canadians) flying down to Puerto Rico. Best regards and have a happy hliday at one of Air Canada's havens!

Glad to see Edward Tuson and Brock Windsor make the list. Great chefs branching out on their own. The next culinary leaders for sure.
