Don’t sacrifice style when you swap four wheels for two this summer. Choose from Gallant Bicycles’ locally assembled, powder-coated frames, then pick your speeds: Opt for one of the internal Nexus hubs for low-maintenance, rust-free gears. Saddle up with a range of seats (including holy-grail Brooks models) and tweak your ride with a variety of accessories – even windshields are on offer. Jason Wood and Tony Mammoliti set up shop to offer a budget-friendly alternative to totally bespoke bikes. Whether you gear up online or test drive the models in person, it’s a two-week turnaround for a head-turning customized ride.

Basic bikes start at $699 ($100 extra if shipping is required)
