Montreal-based graphic designer Julien Vallée, whose genre-bending mixed media illustrations have appeared in the New York Times Magazine and on MTV One, lent his vision to Tim Taylor’s Fandemonium essay in this month’s magazine. Having recently returned from a year in Berlin, where he created a collective exhibition exploring new paths in graphic design, he sat down with us to share his favourite places in one of Europe’s most culturally dynamic cities.
