Naomi Duguid

Sniffing out the tastiest flatbreads and street eats, Naomi Duguid has munched her way across the globe. She’s co-written six cookbooks with husband Jeffrey Alford, two of which have won the James Beard Award. 

My fridge is about the remnants of what has gone on, and it’s about being ready for what might happen, because I hold on to things and think about who I’m cooking for. Inside are leftovers and staples and odd seasonal items, like Mexican mangoes.


Chuck Hughes

When he’s not onscreen as the tattooed host of Chuck’s Day Off on Food Network Canada, chef Chuck Hughes is co-owner of Garde-Manger and a new restaurant opening in the spring, both in Montreal.

The last time I cooked at home was in, like, 1982. There’s truth in the saying, “The cobbler’s children have no shoes” – my fridge is often empty. You guys should have taken photos of my tattoos instead! They’re all of food. I’ve got lobsters, I’ve got pies…
