Postcard from Michoacán, Mexico
Each March, families in the village of Angangueo bid farewell to the monarch butterflies that have spent the winter roosting in the oyamel fir trees of Santuario de la Mariposa Monarca El Rosario. Fluttering clouds of orange and black fill the sky as the monarchs begin their long trip to the Gulf Coast of the United States.
