Nothing says "Montreal" like a sweatshirt signed La Montréalaise Atelier, the new line by Sabrina Barilà, whose designs can be found at Simons. The style authority shares her favourite coffee shops, boutiques and more.

01. Nora Gray
My family is Italian, but from the south, and we eat really simple: pasta, tomato, basil. Nora Gray is more complex Italian fare. The staff is super-welcoming and they play great music, like the Clash and David Bowie.

1391, rue Saint-Jacques, 514-419-6672

02. Boutique Oxford
This sneaker and magazine shop in Mile End carries cool brands like Generic Surplus, Native, Swear London… I buy tons of shoes there.

174, rue Saint-Viateur O., 438-382-3555

03. Café Olimpico
This Montreal landmark reminds me of my childhood, because my dad used to take me to Italian coffee shops. You can only have your coffee the way they serve it – don't ask for skim milk! I enjoy that attitude.

124, rue Saint-Viateur O., 514-495-0746

04. Bota Bota
I love the Cocoa Drift facial at this spa in the Old Port – you can actually eat it! After they put the mask on you, they massage your arms and fingers. Plus the chocolate noticeably pops your skin tone.

Corner of McGill and de la Commune O., 514-284-0333

05. Le Filet
Everything here is delicious. The menu changes all the time, but there's always an amazing fish tartare. It's a perfect date restaurant – the lighting is very moody. There's a sense of intimacy without it being too dark.

219, av. du Mont-Royal O., 514-360-6060

06. Héritage
This clothing shop is impeccably curated and has affordable items. You can put together a great outfit, including the accessories – they have really good jewellery by Etten Eller and Kristen Elspeth.

4357, boul. Saint-Laurent, 514-509-1675
