Great entertainment can liven up any flight. That’s why Air Canada is the only Canadian carrier to make its inflight entertainment system available from gate to gate. From the moment you board the aircraft*, you can plug in ear bud headphones, touch the screen to browse the listings, and enjoy hundreds of hours of movies, TV and audio.
Every month, enRoute on Demand brings you the finest selection of films, television and music. The April 2009 line-up includes Oscar-nominated Frost/Nixon, Milk starring Sean Penn, and Canadian-made The Necessities of Life. While you’re at it, give a listen to the new album by K’naan, Troubadour. Check our listings to find out what else is playing.
For passenger safety, some restrictions apply. Passengers will be able to use Air Canada’s inflight entertainment system to watch their favourite movies, television shows or listen to music immediately upon boarding. However, under safety protocols approved by Transport Canada, passengers will be required to use only “ear bud” type headsets. As well, in order that programs can be interrupted for safety messages and other information, use of personal entertainment devices, such as iPods, will only be allowed once the aircraft is in flight and the captain has granted permission.
*Available on most flights with seatback video, with the exception of CRJ705 aircraft.
