Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum
First crafted by whalers in the 19th century, lightship baskets have become synonymous with the island. The museum’s collection includes works by weaver extraordinaire Jose Formoso Reyes, as well as ivory and mahogany pieces. Although most of the baskets can go for more than $1,500, you can make your own during one of the museum’s weaving workshops.
