Review: The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo

Check in to one of our favourite hotels in Tokyo.

The Ritz Carlton, Tokyo

The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo

Of all the skyscrapers in Roppongi Hills, the ultra-plush Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo is at the top with spacious rooms, a tranquil pool open late and six restaurants (including one dedicated to tempura).

What we loved The complimentary green-tea madeleines and the omelette station on the Club Level.

If you only have one night Let live piano be your soundtrack as you take in the skyline from the Lobby Lounge & Bar while sipping a Suntory single malt (buy a bottle and they’ll supply the mixes).

Bonus The tiny jewel box of a gift shop is perfect for last-minute presents (or keepers), like our covetable egg bowls by 14th-generation potter Hanako Nakazato.
