The Healthy Traveller
Toronto
Staying healthy on the road isn’t always easy, especially for business travellers. But fitness guru Harley Pasternak can help.
Healthy City
Toronto, where I was born, is the perfect city to walk in, with enough distractions to make you forget you’re exercising. Case in point: The waterfront, undergoing a massive revitalization, has the Toronto Music Garden, a rambling promenade along Lake Ontario and the new HTO Park.
Healthy Hotel
The Park Hyatt Toronto is an old favourite of mine. The amazing Stillwater Spa includes an aqua therapy room. Tech addicts can get a 30-minute Hi-Tech Massage focusing on PDA-stressed hands.

The Run
Toronto’s social elite meet at the Yorkville Club, which has a location near the Park Hyatt and the Four Seasons hotels. To work off that cocktail, you can jog along the very quiet Belt Line Linear Park, a reclaimed railroad track without so much as a honk of a car or a glimpse of a skyscraper.

Healthy Meals
Breakfast
United Bakers Dairy Restaurant in North York is an institution. It serves up delicious, healthy (and kosher-style) options, like oatmeal and an egg-white Spanish omelette.

Lunch
Sushi Time Japanese Restaurant is my go-to spot for fast sushi. Don’t leave without trying the salmon pizza and the dragon b roll.

Dinner
Married chefs Bob Bermann and Barbara Gordon run Boba, in a century-old brick house in Yorkville. The grilled Ontario ostrich and herbed gnocchi entrée is my favourite and the wine list is also great.
