Puente de la Mujer

After marketing research revealed that access was a major obstacle to the revitalization of Puerto Madero, a waterfront barrio in a city that had long turned its back to the river, the Puente de la Mujer was commissioned. Erected in 2001, this 160-metre-long, 800-tonne rotating pedestrian bridge, operated by 20 interior engines, is now one of Buenos Aires’ most iconic structures.
