  • Dallas and Fort Worth were slow in the mass transit game, and urban sprawl didn’t help, but it’s getting better. The Trinity Railway Express takes passengers between the two cities, with stops in between, including one close to DFW International. SuperShuttle is another fairly common way to get to your hotel. Vans are frequent, and car service is available through ExecuCar.

  • DART, the Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s bus and light-rail service, are making things easier in Dallas; but the same can’t really be said about Fort Worth, where the T bus service is not as easy to use, though the T does offer shuttles between popular tourist destinations (downtown, Cultural District and Stockyards).

  • Unless you’re at the hotel or a bar late, taxis aren’t easy to hail down. There are plenty of taxi companies, but the most prominent and reliable is Yellow Cab.
