Dauphine Bakery & Bistro

Stop by for the city’s most famous lemon-curd tarts, and Linda Kearney might tell you about her bakery’s origins. “The 104th Street farmers’ market built my business,” she says. “Back then, there were only 15 vendors, not 180; believe me, you could bowl down this street.” Tarts, displayed on the shop’s glass shelves, are still her specialty, but so are Valrhona chocolate brownies, fresh baguettes and high-tea parties.
