The Grapes

A 500-year-old tavern once frequented by Charles Dickens is a must for history buffs who enjoy a pint and a pie (local lore has it as the inspiration for the Six Jolly Fellowship Porters in Our Mutual Friend). Draught beer is the drink of choice, and the Sunday roast is first come, first served. And while there is no television on the premises, the pub is a hop, skip and jump away from the Olympic events.
