It’s tough to get a table at this bustling spot thanks to its tight menu of impeccable French classics. The steak frites topped with a dollop of herbed butter is the obvious choice, and there’s nothing better than the croque monsieur oozing with béchamel followed by the Île Flottante for dessert – a spongy meringue covered in a shell of caramelized sugar floating in crème anglaise. The fact that every meal comes with an oversize Mason jar stuffed with cornichons is a bonus.
