Aga Khan Museum is worth the visit for the whole family. Inaugurated last fall by His Highness the Aga Khan, the phenomenal new institution was designed by Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki, a Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate. While you amble through the bright, cathedral-ceilinged galleries filled with ceramics, tiles, calligraphy and exquisite hand-decorated Qu’rans from the Islamic world, the museum’s Family Exploration Kit (free with admission and available daily) has everything you need to keep the kids busy. It includes a magnifying glass, origami, pencils, string, pipe cleaners and a scavenger hunt
for fantastical creatures.
