Soma Chocolatemaker

Husband-and-wife team Cynthia Leung (a trained architect) and David Castellan (a pastry chef ) opened shop in 2003 and now manage two locations. They make all their fair trade, organic chocolate from scratch. Adventurous customers line up for inventive truffles flavoured with ingredients like giandujo, pop rocks, Douglas fir and arbequina olive oil. The Mayan hot chocolate with ginger, Madagascar vanilla, orange peel and chili is a winter favourite.
