“We want guests to feel comfortable walking in off the street in whatever East Van duds they’re wearing,” says chef/restaurateur Robert Belcham, who opened this unpretentious eatery (think plywood walls and staff without a dress code) with restaurateur Tom Doughty in 2011. Helmed by executive chef Ted Anderson, the kitchen dishes out rustic Roman classics like tonnarelli cacio e pepe and Napoli-style pizzas.
