Moccia Urbani

Open since 1945, this salumeria was the first butcher in Vancouver to offer traditional Italian cuts of meat and house-cured salami. Today the third-generation Urbani boys use only local, humanely raised pork to create salumi that anchors the charcuterie platters at countless city hot spots. “What was once a simple commodity is now a sought-after trend,” says Jordan Urbani. Try the Fig Toscano (dried figs with cinnamon and cloves) for an Italy-byway-of-Morocco bite.
