Travel Photo of the Month

A postcard from Algarve, Portugal.

Boy in Algar de Benagil

Just off Benagil beach, in a small fishing village of the same name, is Algar de Benagil, an ochre-toned grotto, one of many cliffs, spurs and limestone caves fastened into Portugal’s southern coast. Charter a boat, paddleboard, kayak or swim (if the waters are perfectly calm) into this dome-like formation whose eroded roof lets the sun – or stars – shine in.
