A postcard from Boulders Beach, South Africa.

Penguins and locals share Boulders Beach

Forty-five minutes south of Cape Town, nearly 3,000 African Penguins share this white-sand beach with local bathers. Keep an eye out for (but don’t touch) the tuxedoed swimmers, who waddle along the shore and through the rocky inlets of Table Mountain National Park in search of pilchards and anchovies. The area is patrolled by rangers to keep the endangered species safe.
