It was photographer Liam Baldock’s last day in Luxor during an eight-day trip through Egypt. Hoping to catch the sun rising over the Nile, he woke early and pulled back the curtain in his hotel room to find a tranquil scene: a handful of colourful hot-air balloons floating in the distance, dotting the Theban Hills. “The view made leaving Egypt a little bit more difficult,” says Baldock.
