Checking In: The Boca Raton

Old-world elegance in a newly renovated resort.

Palm Beach County feels a bit like the Hamptons of Florida, and The Boca Raton like its most exclusive resort and country club. The oceanfront landmark boasts its own private golden-sand beach, 50,000-square-foot spa and 15-plus restaurants and lounges (only accessible to guests and members).

The original property dates to the 1920s, and traces of its Spanish influence are still visible in the arched hallways of the Cloister section – one of the five distinct hotels guests can choose from in the sprawling resort. The others: an adults-only Yacht Club, extended-stay Bungalows, a soon-to-debut Beach Club and the retro-chic coral Tower, the tallest building in town.

Launched in early 2024, the Tower Suite Collection is akin to a VIP area within a VIP area. Priority treatment reaches its pinnacle here with perks like private check-in, a personal concierge, preferred beach and poolside seating, and special access to Top of the Tower, the airy reimagined 27th-floor lounge. It’s an elegant but relaxed space with panoramic views, complimentary refreshments and curated experiences, from breakfast at sunrise to British high tea in the afternoon and cocktail-making classes at sunset.
