Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre from Way, Way Up

Share

Nature took 250 million years to get the red sandstone here just right, creating a natural auditorium with optimal acoustics. It was only in 1941 that the area – 1,966 metres above sea level and 24 kilometres west of Denver – was turned into a proper venue that can seat up to 9,525 people. Since then, the Beatles, Dolly Parton and Wilco have all graced its stage and performed for fans ready to rock.
